After graduating from Cal Poly with a degree in wine and viticulture in 2006, Katie was named the winemaker for the university’s inaugural vintage of Cal Poly Wines. In the years that followed Katie served on the winemaking teams at Kenneth Volk Wines, Niven Family Wine Estates and Center of Effort Wines, before being named the winemaker for Cambria in 2015, where she spent three years working alongside noted Winemaker Denise Shurtleff. Since joining the Duckhorn Portfolio in 2018, Katie has played an integral role in crafting wines that showcase the character and complexity of the Central Coast.
